According to a recent study by the consulting firm #Gartner, “Shortening the time between the time spent making a decision and the subsequent execution of that decision is essential for 96% of supply chain managers. Despite this, only an average of 7% execute decisions in real time.”
"Time is money" and in the execution of logistics processes, this statement can be the difference between being successful or leaving the market, since logistics costs represent in many cases the largest in your entire operating budget. Thus, SC leaders must emigrate the processes so that not only the analysis is in real time, but also the decisions.
Today, solutions based on Blockchain technology allow processes to be more fluid, the information more reliable and trustworthy, the time invested in bureaucracy is reduced and there is a greater interconnection between supplier, client, service or goods providers and government entities. All this contributes enormously to facilitating the process of analysis and decision-making.
Now, if this is that easy, why don't companies do it? The answer is simple, the cost of the initial investment in many cases is enormous and can exceed the capabilities of the potential user. It is then a matter of deciding, doing nothing and sitting back and watching the competition take over the market or invest in digital transformation and raise the level of competitiveness, quality of service and delivery of added value to our customers.

“El tiempo es dinero” y en la ejecución de los procesos logísticos, este statment puede ser la diferencia que exista entre que seas exitoso o salgas del mercado, pues los costos logísticos representan en muchos casos el mayor en todo tu presupuesto de operaciones.
Siendo así, los lideres de SC deben emigrar los procesos para que no solo el análisis sea en tiempo real, pero también las decisiones.
