A esta fecha, 34 países han asumido como una obligación el uso de la carta porte digital e-CMR .En septiembre del 2023 de acuerdo a la legislación española será de obligatorio cumplimiento también en este país, así como en breve también lo será el uso de tacometros inteligentes para todas las unidades con peso total mayor a 3.5 Tm.
Estos requerimientos legales obligan a las empresas a acelerar sus procesos de digitalización, para lo cual, la Unión Europea ha asignado inmensos recursos y subsidios. Aquelllas empresas que no se transformen, simplemente perderan competitividad y terminaran desapareciendo.
